Hearing Jer remind us that the road to being an everyday peacemaker is lonely filled me with apprehension and yet as I have reflected on all that was shared last Friday, I have experienced a surge of hope. After spending last Friday with all of you I am overcome with a new sense of hope. Hope as I reflect on my pressing question of where is God leading me knowing that I am now on this journey with a group of people passionate about peacemaking. Hope as I reflect on the compassion and encouragement shared with each other I see that this is a safe place to grow. Hope that even though many of us have questions about our abilities and paths towards peacemaking we have an opportunity to grow thanks to Journey of Hope. Hope that through the lives of this cohort there will be outward ripples of justice. And so I today, I cling to this hope!

Yes, Jean! Thank for this and for allowing your hope to grow. The cohort is a response to the loneliness that many have felt over the years…and…we’re watching as those who enter in tend to express a similar sentiment to yours: “I’m finding my people.” Very much looking forward to the road forward with you.
I appreciate that your grip on hope reflects the potential for justice to ripple. May it ever be so in each of us.
